ladka –ladki ek doosre ko dekhkar haan …(yes) bol dete hai to sabse phehle sagai ka neg hota hai . ladke wale bahu ko kapada -Gehna dete hein aur isi prakaar ladki waale jawain ko gehna kapra aur rishtedaaron ko samaan ( gifts ) dete hein. Ladke ko teeka ker dete hein aur saath mein kuch samman ( gift) dete hein.waarpher ker dete hin. Ladki ki saas, bahu ke teeka nikalti hai., godh bharti hai aur gehna kapda dete hein. Waar pher ker dete hein. iske baad ring ceremony hoti hai. Ismein dono ek doosre ko angoothi ( ring) pehnate hein.

I introduce myself as Meena Shorewala and this blog of mine is an attempt to share my experience and knowledge in Marwari rituals of all festivals and marriages.

In these modern times most of the new generation is unaware about the rituals that take place, and this lack of knowledge is forcing them to slowly avoid the rituals or compromise them with wrong ritual.

Through this blog I attempt to guide the new generation and make them aware about the rituals of Marwari community.
